Drivers new to the company must undergo at least two weeks of training focused on properly securing loads and safe driving techniques before they take a truck on the road, regardless of prior experience. Driver’s safety habits are also tracked through an incentive program where they are rewarded monthly and quarterly for their safe driving performance. Every year Mansur Trucking holds a mandatory safety meeting for all employees where occupational therapists and specialists as well as insurance representatives and other professionals come update and review the best ways to stay safe and healthy in the workplace. All of our trucks are equipped with a rear-facing camera and dash mounted screen to ensure full visibility of the load and trailer. This helps to monitor the load while in transit and also provides a larger field of vision of the trailer for the driver when needed. Our maintenance staff provides regularly scheduled service on all company trucks and trailers on-site in the Mansur Trucking facility to ensure the equipment is in top operating condition and safe for the road. Efficiency Where going Green means saving green. The use of cutting-edge route planning software allows us to help keep mileage and fuel consumption down by generating better driving directions and identifying pumps with the lowest prices along the way. Auxiliary vehicle heaters are installed on company trucks to reduce engine idle time and the amount of fuel needed to keep trucks at a comfortable temperature for drivers when stopped. A big part of our driver incentive program encompasses driver efficiency where each driver is tracked on their idle time percentage and average miles per gallon. These measures are benchmarked and drivers that meet or exceed those standards are rewarded monthly and quarterly for their performance. Our continued effort to become more efficient and Green can be further evidenced by our recent partnership with the EPA SmartWaySM Transport program. This working relationship between Team Mansur and the EPA helps us quantify the environmental performance of our operations as well as look at ways to improve that performance in the future.
